Preparation o Adhesive G Bonding Surfaces
Master Bond Suprc we 18TC does not reauire any mixing before use. Some s .irring is recommencled if the adhesive has been stored fol a prolonged time Deriod without use. Such stirring shoul: I be done slowly to avoid entraDping air.
All bonding surface s should be carefully cleaned, dep reased and dried for obtai ing the maximum bond streng ths.
Metal and other su i faces should be chemically etched or mechanically abraci *d (e.g. sand blasted) for maximum bond strength. If th s is not possible, surfaces should be rouqhened as mucl as feasi ble wi th sandpaper.
Application ai d Assembly
For bonding or seals kg, Supreme J8TC can be conveniently applied with a spate la or knife. As mentioned earlier, Supreme I8TC is for rulated so that it may be applied in sections as thin as 1‹)-15 microns. The parts to be bonded should then be pres ed together with just enough Dressure to maintain intimate contact during cure. Even though the system is designed I ar tight bonding lines, care should be taken not to squeez out all of the adhesive during fixturing.
Cure
Supreme J8TC requir +s an elevated temDerature cure. The
